Sr. Telecommunications Analyst
Universal Health Services, Inc. (UHS), one of the nation's largest and most respected healthcare management companies, is seeking a Senior Telecommunication Analyst. UHS employs more than 55,000 people and owns and operates various acute care hospitals, behavioral health centers, surgical hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers and radiation oncology centers. The Sr. Telecommunications Analyst will plan, develop, implement and operate the Company’s telecommunications infrastructure. This includes installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all telephone systems/services, voicemail PBX communication systems, and video conferencing environments. The person will also analyze and resolve telecommunications circuit issues in a timely and accurate fashion, and support user needs to include review and processing of telecommunications requisitions. Position includes moves, adds and changes to telecommunications systems (PBX and Network), system troubleshooting, systems management, ordering and expenditure processing, for the Corporation. Supervises Telecommunications Coordinator. Essential Job Duties Responsible for the analysis, evaluation of existing services/technologies as well as the recommendation of additions, improvements and changes in the telecommunications voice/data/video company enterprise. Prepares and presents cost initiatives through ROI and business case analysis. Coordinates and accomplishes scheduled maintenance and repairs within expertise. This position is responsible for the analysis, interpretation, and processing of all telecommunication requisitions and expenditures for the Corporation. Performs all system administration duties on the PBX and adjuncts. Manages and leads junior analyst through routine software changes, routine backups, maintains configuration control records, and maintains equipment hardware and software inventory. Coordinates activities with Corporate/Hospital end users, equipment vendors, and telephone companies. Logs telecommunications work order service calls, and trouble analysis within technical expertise. Analyst will follow up with vendors on trouble calls outside of expertise to ensure prompt problem resolution. Monitor corporate and remote telecommunications voice systems to identify and solve technical operating problems as they occur. Performs standard diagnostics to identify and solve potential system problems. Perform as project manager in telecomm related projects and new technology applications. Involved with planning and implementation of new installations throughout the corporation. Coordinate installation and planning of related telecommunication equipment and services throughout enterprise. Monitors and maintains network performance and reliability to assure minimum interruptions in network service. Prepares and reports system performance metrics, Performs data backups, Maintains telecomm backup program enterprise wide. Liaisons with telecommunications vendors during trouble determination, evaluation, and resolution and processes all repair orders accurately and quickly to ensure technician response. Escalates issues and tracks service requests and repairs through resolution. Manages/performs software changes required for telephone, software groups, system parameters, class of service and moves/adds/changes (MAC) Designs/creates voice mail boxes, call centers, hunt groups, call vectors, automatic call distribution groups (ACD’s) and interactive voice response units (IVR’s) Maintains accurate records of system database, trunk facilities, building floor plans, project repair orders, and circuit connectivity worksheets. Analyzes telecommunication invoices, review for accuracy, prepares for payment and trends utilization. Actively seeks cost reductions. Performs other duties as assigned/required. Job Requirements: Up to 15% travel. Must hold qualification as Avaya telecommunication technician for PBX management. Reports to the Wide Area Network Manager. Share/Provide 24x7 coverage (on-call).
